Starbuck's Coffee Review
This week I visited Starbuck's Coffee shop located at 1703 S 18th St. Starbucks has many locations throughout Waco, TX, and is extremely well-known. As an avid coffee enthusiast, I couldn't not review Starbucks. Starbucks is the world's largest chain of coffeehouses. With 30,000 locations across 80 countries, it is one the most recognized and valued brands worldwide. The location I visited is extremely close to Baylor campus and easily accessible from the interstate. This shop is also within just a couple blocks of where I currently live, which made it an easy choice for my next coffee shop visit.
I ordered an Iced Americano with Oat Milk and Honey. The service was slow, which was a little unusual as I have never really had an issue with service at a Starbucks before. It took nearly five minutes for them to finally come to the register and take my order, even though there wasn't a line. After waiting longer than normal, I got my drink. It was overly sweet and watered down, without the strong coffee taste I normally look for. This was disappointing, and made me realize how much more I like the other local coffee shops.
There were plenty of seating options around the space with a variety of tables and benches. The outdoor seating was limited and was right next to the drive thru and entrance. I avoided the outdoor area because of how distracting I thought it would be. I found a table inside and started to begin my schoolwork. It was a great space to do homework, as the music and sounds of people around me didn't have a large impact. I can imagine studying in this environment may be difficult because of the noise and traffic. Overall, the quality of this Starbucks was not on par with most coffee shops I have visited in the last weeks.
