Magnolia Press Coffee Review
This week I visited Magnolia Press Coffee located at 418 S 8th St. Started by Chip and Joanna Gaines, this coffee shop is extremely well-known and a large part of the tourist attraction that the Gaines family has created in the Waco area. They first opened the doors to this shop in 2018, wanting to build something that allows individuals to hangout, relax, char with friends, and enjoy some outstanding coffee and pasties.
The space inside gives off a warm, vintage feel that immediately makes you feel at home. You can smell the aroma of fresh brewed coffee right when you enter the building. There are many different seating options located inside with couches, tables and stools to choose from. Towards the back of the coffee shop are multiple spaces and booths for a more quiet and secluded area, which I found would be perfect for studying or working on homework. The brick walls and murmur of conversation made for the perfect environment. There was even an old renovated train car booth that truly added to the scenery of the shop.
I ordered an Iced Americano with Oat Milk and Honey. The shop was surprising not busy when I went, as it is always seems packed when I drive by. The service was great, and the baristas were very conversational and outgoing. My drink was made within five short minutes and had a bold, rich flavor. It was obvious that the baristas took pride in their craft. After receiving my drink, I found a spot in the back of the shop where it was most quiet. The sight, sounds, and smell of the area provided a great atmosphere that made the hours go by. Overall, the charm of Magnolia as well as the exceptional coffee made for a great work place that was both relaxing and appealing.
Enjoy a cup of coffee at the Silos. Magnolia. (n.d.). https://magnolia.com/visit/eat/magnolia-press/
