Lighthouse Coffee & Wine Review

This week I visited Lighthouse Coffee & Wine. This coffee shop is located at 624 Washington Ave, right in the center of downtown Waco. As stated in its' name, it serves both coffee and wine. Providing these services makes this shop extremely unique and provides a sense of community for those who stop by.

When I entered the coffee shop, the first thing I noticed was how small the space was. The small space provides intimacy and comfort, which makes for a great study or work environment. It made it much easier to enjoy my coffee while being in a space that felt welcoming and less overwhelming. The small space can also has its disadvantages, such as limited seating availability and a lack of variety. There are only a couple tables scattered throughout the coffee shop, which can make it difficult to find a spot thats enjoyable. The small space also can become crowded quickly. I noticed that after only a short while the coffee shop tables filled up and there was no more space for new customers.

I ordered the same drink I order every week, which is an Iced Americano with Oat Milk and Honey. One thing I noticed was that the service took exceptionally long. This made it hard to applaud their customer service, as most coffee shops work hard to get you your drink in a timely fashion. The staff was very welcoming and kind, in addition to the coffee tasting great. It was sweet and strong, which is exactly what I look for in my coffee. Although the service is slow, the drink was almost worth the wait. It was obvious they use high-quality beans and take their time to produce an exceptional drink. Overall, Lighthouse Coffee & Wine is a great place for studying and intimacy. They also serve great tasting drinks so compliment the small but comfortable space.
